Rock Egg

Rock Egg was created for "EggStravaganza", a fundraiser and event by the Public Arts Initiative of Egg Harbor, INC. (PAI). Every five years, PAI selects 30 artists to create egg sculptures to be showcased throughout the summer in Door County, Wisconsin.

" EggStravaganza is a key community event and fundraising initiative that promotes public art in Egg Harbor. This summer-long art showcases eggs displayed throughout the Village at sponsor businesses and the event culminates in a celebration and live auction in Door County, Wisconsin." 
PROCESS : INSPIRATION

2-3 layers of Aluminum foil were used for each rock.

I sculpted these to a "bowl" shape to be lightweight/hollow.
